EDI Support Analyst

An opportunity has arisen for an EDI Support Analyst with Glanbia Business Services. This full time position will report to the E-Services Manager.
The base location of the role will be Kilkenny, with a blended working arrangement available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.

Overview

This person will be responsible for the technical support of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes. This includes the daily monitoring of EDI file processing, the troubleshooting of issues affecting successful receipt or delivery of client files, and general customer support of issues.

Key Elements of the Role

  • Participate fully in the Support of IT integration solutions between SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Support and monitor issues pertaining to Electronic documents transacted with suppliers and customers.
  • Troubleshoot and assess issues that cause customer EDI invoice issues and payment delays.
  • Provide frontline customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Resolve helpdesk calls logged against the E-Services service catalogue.
  • Become knowledgeable with EDI messaging standards and EDI middleware tools such as IBM Gentran Server and IBM Sterling B2Bi Integrator.
  • Where required, work alongside other GBS teams in delivering cross-function IT solutions.
  • Produce comprehensive technical support documentation on all projects undertaken.
  • Manage priorities and set expectations when faced with multiple demanding tasks.


Qualifications / Experience
  • Third level qualification in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an Information Technology related role.
  • Ability to learn, introduce and improve new and existing administration practice and process associated with the role.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong technical acumen.
  • Ability to work on one’s own initiative and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
